From what I am reading the resident drivers in Windows XP do not work well even doing basic functions.

There are drivers readily available for that. I was wondering if anyone had some real-world knowledge of this before I go blindly downloading crap that may add to my problems. And speaking of something of that age, you realize that the belts and other elastomers in there will most likely be dried out and will probably break or crack soon. I searched the HP website and found a driver that may or may not work for you. Are there any third party drivers for the SCSI card that comes with the 5p?

Could anyone tell me if they were successful using this scanner with Windows XP, and how you did it. We have a couple of these at work and XP directly hpp them.
